Robert Gibbs, FALSA, AICP

Robert Gibbs is considered a global authority on urban commercial centers and has been named one of the most influential urbanists of the past century.  He teaches at Harvard University and serves as an advisor to the Mayors Institute on City Design.  Gibbs is also a charter member of the Congress for the New Urbanism and has also been credited with developing one of the Great Ideas of the New Urbanism. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.  Robert earned a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, a bachelor’s and a Doctor of Arts Honoris Causa from Oakland University

Gibbs directs all of GPG’s projects and has consulted on over 1500 private and public sector commissions in all 50 states and around the world including: Alexandria, Auckland, Canada, Charleston, Detroit, Mexico, Naples, New Zealand, Palm Beach, Palm Desert, Portland, Poland, Santa Cruz, Sydney and over 20 hospitals and universities.  He has been recently featured on NPR and in the Atlantic, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, USA Today and Washington Post.
